One, two, three.

Last year we produced a series of images at Dunboyne Castle Hotel which included this one…
The Alder Suite at Dunboyne Castle Hotel.
.. which we talked about shooting here: Boardrooms.

Well, we were back last week as they have now renovated this and their other meeting rooms, by basically turning them all into one much larger room…
The Cedar Suite at Dunboyne Castle Hotel.
.. which can then be divided back into smaller rooms again, using a ‘roll out room divider’ system.

And so that was what they wanted to show, i.e. how this newly renovated corporate/meeting room can be used in different ways.

Executive Boardrooms

Dunboyne Castle Hotel features three contemporary boardrooms. The Alder & Copper Beech Suites can cater for up to 20 guests, while Cedar Suite caters for up to 60 delegates. The Suites overlook the mature woodlands on the estate and are ideal for intimate business meetings.

One done, two to go – type of thing – as 2 rooms would look like this…

.. which after some fine tuning, both inside…

.. and out…

.. looked pretty good…

.. especially when Dianne & Claudio stood in for a test shot…

.. just before everyone arrived…

.. the overhead projector was turned on…

.. and a few minutes later…

.. we were all happy with that:

Two done, one to go – as I moved the camera back…

.. everyone moved in…

.. and did their thing…

.. so before you know it, I was pressing the button once again…

.. to produce the final image before packing the wagon…

.. to head home.

And so there you have it – one…

.. two…

Nothing between here and America.

Perched out on a peninsula between Limerick and Galway, you can almost taste the pure Atlantic air…
Land Rover sitting outside the Member's Clubhouse at Doonbeg Golf & Spa Resort in County Clare.
.. it must surely be one of the best places to blow the cobwebs away – especially at this time of year.

Yes, it was great to be down at Doonbeg once again – and as always we were made to feel most welcome – in what has become like our 2nd home, over the past few years.

Anyway, this time our brief was to capture their facilities for corporate bookings – however, from my point of view, it was not the ideal time of the year to be shooting such a thing, as the natural light was very poor…

.. so while Marie & the guys re-arranged the tables and started to dress the room for the camera…

.. I unloaded the wagon and set-up every light that I had.

So needless to say it took a while – still, very pleased with the final result…

.. but as I look at this image now, I can’t help but think: It’s just a pity my wagon wasn’t amphibious 🙂

After that, we produced some images in the a-jointing library…
The library set for a conference in the Member's Clubhouse at the Trump International Golf Links & Hotel in County Clare.
.. as well as down in the Golf Shop – while the guys upstairs started to set-up the main conference room again, this time to show how it would look should someone want a more formal style like this…

.. which once again required every light I had – even though the final result here…

.. probably looks like I didn’t use any.

But then again, that’s often the goal, i.e. to make it look 100% natural – or just like you would expect it to look if you were to walk into the room on a sunny day.

Anyway, the final version they wanted, was to show how it would look set-up like so…

.. which I knew from looking at this first image, was going to need the light reversed.

So after closing the curtains behind me, it was time to add the main directional light while Marie stood in to act the part…

.. and about an hour and a half later, it was time for Ray to stand-in…

.. who then asked for a formal portrait of himself, as he informed us he had just been made a Director – so way to go Ray…

.. as there is nothing between here and America now 🙂
