.. pages 70 to 81.
“Charles took a leap of faith when he embarked on a huge renovation project to breathe vibrancy back into a much-loved but faded, late Victorian three-storey end terrace in Bangor, Co Down.”
So congratulations to Charles once again – especially for making it onto the cover too.
From Marie, Mandi & me.
As we near the end of November, we finished our second Christmas home shoot for the 2012 publications – well ahead of schedule.
The nice thing about the current trend for Christmas styling, is that basically anything goes – be it cosy traditional, ultra modern or as in this case…
.. shabby chic in pastel colours.
A huge amount of work always goes into getting a home ready for any magazine shoot; however, Christmas shoots always require that wee bit more… or in some cases, a lot more, especially if it’s being specifically set-up for just that one day.
So hats off to Amanda & Keith for all their hard work here – because they sure did a superb job. And even throughout the day, it was all hands-on board…
.. which was great – because as they say: many hands make light work – and with the days being short, it was much appreciated. However, I think their little boy, Bailie, enjoyed the day the most – as it was like ‘Christmas had come early’ for him.
So he helped his mum decorate the tree…
.. and even helped Marie with the props…
.. by eating a few of them 🙂
Seriously though, it was a lovely shoot – so would just like to say a big thanks – we will keep you posted – and in the meantime, a very Merry Christmas from Marie & me @ ampimage.com
It was a while since we had an amp night on the town, so we made up for it at the weekend 🙂
Starting in our fave bar The Spaniard, where Stuart led us astray by suggesting Dark & Stormy cocktails…
.. which sure went down well.
Ginger beer, loads of freshly squeezed lime, angostura bitters and Barbadian dark rum – very nice indeed!
Then it was on to Little Wing for pizzas.
It was fantastic for Belfast to have hosted the MTV awards event the other week – there were a load of A listers in town – and guess where Katy Perry happened to end up…
.. yep, check out the flag above my head.
“Katy Perry was sitting right here.”
So Katey obviously has great taste too 🙂
.. and it has already started for us, as we are now shooting homes for the 2012 Christmas issues.
Yesterday’s shoot was in a very stylish and unique County Down home…
..with an eclectic mix of Scandi, modern and antiques.
Setting up a Xmas shoot from scratch can be pretty tough going in a day – so we sometimes spread it over 2 days, as it can also be very time consuming. Which is what we are doing with this one, because we are aware that every picture has the potential of either appearing on the cover or as a double page spread within the magazines. Which means every detail within each picture, needs to be checked and then re-checked on screen…
.. until we are happy with the final result.
However, a wee glass of mulled wine helped us get into the spirit of things…
.. and naturally it would have been a shame to waste it once the shots were taken 🙂
Anyway, of to a good start and some really nice images produced here today – but we are now looking for more Christmas homes to shoot – so if it is something you would be interested in, do let us know.
