Gets a quick thumbs-up from the Commissioning Editor.

This was basically a huge makeover for Janet and her husband Ken, who is an Artist – which we decided to shoot and submit to 25 Beautiful Homes magazine a few days ago.

The house had been owned by an elderly man and little had changed since it was built. However, Janet was delighted that the original doors and tiled flooring remained, so they knocked through the 2 living rooms, extended the kitchen, re-plastered, re-wired and put in a new bathroom.

Their style was very much about mixing old and new alongside good artwork.

It’s a style that needs a lot of skill to pull off…

.. however Janet here…

.. did just that – and clearly the Editor thought so too.

So we were delighted when they said ‘Yes’ so quickly to this one, as that is a great result for everyone – congratulations to you both – and one to look out for on the book shelves next year.

Festive cheer.

Most of our work these days tends to be interior based – be it homes or hotels.

However, we do occasionally get asked to shoot other things, like products for example.
And like so many other things in life, we are very aware the buyer has become used to products being beautifully presented, styled and lit!
Who hasn’t looked at those M&S food ads on the Television and mentally added that apple strudel or Thai prawn to their shopping list!

Yes, the product is great but the adverts sure sell the sizzle!

So here are just a few recent images we produced for the Lodge Kitchen at Doonbeg in County Clare, of their Christmas products…

.. with only about 80 days to go to the big day !

Christmas seems to start earlier every year – so it was time to spread a wee bit of the festive cheer.
