Gets a very quick thumbs-up from the Homes Editor.
This was basically a massive ‘gut job’ story, for Janice & her husband Billy Shannon, who is a Joiner…
.. which we decided to shoot and submit to Style At Home magazine today.
It seems the previous owners had kept motorbikes downstairs and created a makeshift kitchen upstairs !!
So Janice & Billy had to replace joists, ceilings and floors as well as the usual re-wiring, re-plumbing, new windows etc etc. Billy and Andrew (their 21 year old son) along with a few friends did the building work themselves whereas Janice did the decor and re-vamped bits and pieces such as the black coffee table which had been dated mahogany she also restored and painted the original fireplace in the main bedroom.
Which clearly the Editor liked the look…
.. and sound off – so we were delighted when she said ‘Yes’ so quickly to this one…
.. as that is a great result for everyone – so congratulations to Billy and Janice – and one to look out for on the bookshelves next year.
